YIPO has started as an informal Monthly Mingle providing an avenue for Ottawa's insurance professionals to connect and network in a fun and collegial atmosphere. Fueled by the passion of our co-founders, the Monthly Mingle evolved into a partnership with the Young Insurance Professionals of Toronto (YIPT) to create a subsidiary chapter, the Young Insurance Professionals of Ottawa (YIPO).

Through our affiliation with YIPT, we have joined a non-profit network with over 1,300 insurance members in Ontario. This diverse group of members consists entirely of insurance industry professionals at varying stages in their careers ranging from entry-level to seasoned. Sharing its mandate, the vision for YIPO is to be more than just a forum for bringing together professionals in our industry. We aspire to be a platform for insurance industry professionals to engage, grow and give back to the Ottawa community.

To build, connect and inform Ottawa’s insurance community by providing a platform for individuals to enhance their leadership skills through YIPO's three organizational pillars: community enhancement, professional networking, and educational outreach. We aim to become the catalyst for individuals to stand out within the insurance industry and build their networks.
